Nisku provides the centralized services of purchasing,
engineering, and accounting for all facility and field
locations of G.L.M. Fabrication in Nisku is focused on
highly engineered products, pressure vessels, engineered
tankage for batteries, refineries, chemical and in-situ
facilities.
This location consists of:
-
5 481 m2 (59 000 ft2) covered fabrication floor space
-
18 581 m2 (200 000 ft2) of outdoor crane-way
-
50 Ton maximum in-house crane capacity
-
8 outdoor fabrication pad site
A full service paint and blast facility located on site
features a negative pressured blast bay to reduce
environmental contamination and airborne particles. The
blast and paint bays are connected by an in-floor trolley
system for ease of product movement and reduce the exposure
to external elements on freshly blasted products. This
design layout allows for timely completion of product
through the final stages of the fabrication process in a
well controlled and timed environment.
A new computerized painting system has allowed G.L.M. to
increase throughput by almost 40% and reduced waste by 25%.
Our on-site maintenance shop provides services for major
rebuild or re-certification to be performed by licensed
electricians and mechanics.
The combination of these services in a single location
allows for flexible production of pressure vessels,
engineered designs, and customized projects while
maintaining significant operating efficiencies.
More important than the facility are our employees, a highly
dedicated group of professionals and tradespeople who make
G.L.M. the success it is.
